Write for us
We welcome clear, original proposals about the making of small-scale theatre: the choices, questions and creative habits that help a scene or production come into focus.
What to pitch
A strong proposal has one distinct subject, a clear reader in mind and a useful central idea. It might explain a rehearsal question, compare two ways of approaching a stage picture, or reflect on the history of a theatrical form. Keep the scope manageable and show what a reader will understand or be able to consider afterward.
How to write
Use a natural voice, explain theatre terms that may be unfamiliar and separate personal opinion from factual claims. We value specific examples and thoughtful nuance, not promotional copy, unsupported claims or a list of generic tips.
Send a proposal
Proposals are sent through the Contact page. Choose the editorial question option and include a working title, a brief outline, why the subject suits Golden Stage Journal and a short note about your approach. Please do not send confidential material or assume that a proposal is accepted until discussed.
Theatre begins with attention
A pause, a changed chair, a line heard a new way: small choices can open a whole stage. We value curiosity over polish and ideas that can travel to different rooms and groups.
